The World Of Toys on TOYSREVIL (Jan/26/2011)
Doktor A will be offering up signed Artist Proofs / A/Ps of his G.N.O.M.E figures starting Sunday January 30th @ 6pm UK-time exclusively via http://www.spookypop.bigcartel.com/. AVailable would be 3 pcs of the £70 "Traditional" Version (featured above) as well as a very limited 8 pieces of the £125-priced Subterranean "Chase" version (featured below). Right, enough yakking from me, now go forth and click "Add To Cart", innit?
Gyroscopic Non-Ornamental Mechanised Excavator: Originally created to excavate the labyrinthine tunnel system for Retropolis's underground pneumatic railway, the G.N.O.M.Es have proven themselves useful for many other tasks. Currently employed on an ambitious continent to continent sub sea corridor project. The peculiarly hard ocean floor rocks have begun to give them headaches. Several of them intend taking some time off when it is over and plan a little jaunt to the centre of the planet for a vacation.
8" tall resin figure with rotomolded vinyl body. Has a removeable hat and interchangeable scoop shovel hands or pick axes. The arms are articulated. This is one of the Artist's Percentage allotment of this figure. Each piece is signed by Doktor A and numbered under the feet.
Sam Millen is currently gearing up for a new wave of self-made and self-painted Tesselate figures, and fans are better for it, not just for the new figures, but also his current early spring clean of items from the shop with a honking 50% off everything on http://tesselate.bigcartel.com until February 1st. All you need to remember to do, is to mention the code "FIDDY".
And while I have not-so-silently gawked over the Balzac-version of Hello Kitty from Medicom Toy a whiles back, the discovery of this new collaboration between Secret Base, Hello Kitty Sanrio and Balzac the Japanese Punk band - really threw me for a girly-whoop! Available in both the White Version and Red Version, the now-seated figure is priced at 47,50 € on Artoyz.com, and stands 7cm tall and comes with a header bag. *Man-Gush*
After his Silent Armada blind-box release, *kngl* has been plenty busy - busy building up his gorilla papercraft, that is! While you can see a slew of simian collaboration designs running around his ">blog - he does have a brand new ensign to share: SNOW KING GORO - downloadable for free here. I'd love to see a paperboy royal between Goro and Castleforte's Icy Huggy paperboy monster though - someone make that happen please - on video too! (I would do that myself, but alas…)
Hold on. I've seen these before. Heck, I might even posted about them before. And now the paper-toy-robot is out in the urban wild, with heck more designs to choose from. Distributed by DKE Toys - RoboCards Mails "comes flattened in a packaged but stands tall when formed"
Measuring W 6" x D 4" x H 10" (Additional Note Card included) with a SRP of US$28 per, the RoboCard Mails i include Tin Head, Captain Fido, KnockOut and Paparazzi.
