Reading between the lines has never been harder! Especially with my new illegibly text-ured ty_po dunny series 1. These 14 new original 3-inch Dunnys* are customized with dry transfer instant lettering and come in unique hand screen printed boxes.
Pepe releases hand-crafted 4" wood toy creations dudded WOODSPRITES - scheduled for a Feb 7th release online at 19:00hrs (Central European Time CET). Only 12 x Woodsprites will be made available on http://smallstuff.bigcartel.com. Check out the making of Woodsprites full-screen here.
"The WOODSPRITES are all handcrafted by Pepe out of Sapele wood. The beautiful graining of this wood is reminiscent of Mahogany. Each sprite is unique in its shape and wood texture so you will catch here a true one of a kind figure."
We have a chance to share with you folks customs by Daniel Goffin - done for the 10th anniversary show of Ilanena Hoshina and his Dai Kaiju Card Monsters. Daniel adds: "Inspired by cutaway anatomy drawings of kaiju monsters I wanted to do something similar, yet, also different. I remembered having seen sheet plastinations in an article about Gunter von Hagen and knew that this would be what I wanted to try to recreate. I have to admit that by creations below are not really plastinations in the literal sense as I did not encase these in acetate and then cut through them."
A snap of sculpts from Japan featuring offerings for the "Monsters & Misfits" show, with designs/creations from Kathie Olivas and Brandt Peters. Quite breathtaking actually. As well VinylGodes reported on yet another WIP-sculpts from Chris Ryniak, also for the show. Yes, it is going to be a mind-blowingly awesome shoe, without a doubt.
Frank Mysterio goes surprisingly light-handed with his color-choice approach to two recent kaiju-kustoms, with an uncharacteristic pastel color scheme for both the Jet Jagar Prismacolor and Mostre Cripicolor (both above), then goes slightly darker with the subsequent trio of kanjis shown below. A more friendly less visceral Frank, perhaps? I doubt so ;p
Local artist Daniel Yu sculpts an Uglydoll Action Figure Wedge, and we cannot wait to see the final result!
