World Of Toys on TOYSREVIL (Feb/23/2011)
From Bounty Hunter comes "BxH Gillru-Kun" ~ a new updated figure-form of their earlier release, available for ￥9,240 (Spotted on High Snobiety). With a wee bit of google-translate, look for the black-n-white colored vinyl to be released this coming Saturday Feb 26th at the BxH online shop as well BxH boutiques. Swell for folks who may want to catchup to their "vinyl toy" lore, as BxH was one of the first ever folks to release a urban-toy made of vinyl for sale, starting this whole shebang, yeh?

The 5.25" resin figure comes with a removable mask that you can swap out with the Dramatic Bastard colorway. Each fig is signed, numbered and hand packed by E. Scarecrow. Somewhere buried deep within my old sputtering G5 are snaps of black-n-white drawn pages, of A.B.C. Warriors in 2000AD, as excellently illustrated by Simon Bisley, specifically of MONGROL, because plainly, I had wanted to trumpet my own lurve for the character and comic-series, for when I spied the promo-image above from ThreeA Toys … fast forward a fews months later, I am still unable to access the Mac, as well the stack of comics are by now buried deeper within my room (post-Stroke, long story) and are unaccessible, to redo what I had done before Stroke.
Nevertheless, MONGROL is to be released on Feb 28th Monday at 9am Hong Kong time via Bambalandstore, priced at US$250 (includes worldwide shipping). As well there is the existence of am all-black version of MONGROL. Heck, I didn't know MONGROL was colored such as well!
The second figure to be released from the 2000AD line from 3A Toys, Mongrol is as well the first of a series of SEVEN A.B.C. Warriors to be released as well (yes, there will be a Hammerstein! I am looking forward to Pineapple Joe, which I think 3A will do a spectacular version of) and measures 30cm tall and 35cm across. Sweetness.
Somewhere "hidden" amidst Shin Tanaka's website @ www.shin.co.nr are downloadable templates for HOMIE paperboys, which feature "traditional" houses aka "homes" atop sitting figures, and pretty clever wordplay, push comes to shove. And yes, you are also invited to tag the "walls" too! LOL
Remember the blue colorway Fahrenheit vinyl figure with the lightning I so liked before? (previous posted here). Vinyl Pulse reports that is is now named "Fahrenheit Inazuma", and will indeed be a shared exclusive between producers Kuo Vinyl and The Spaghetti Project. Designed by Rotobox Vinyl Anatomoica, this version is limited to only 50 pieces worldwide. Frankly this is one version I really would love having in my collection!

Hot Toys releases snaps for their upcoming new TRACKER PREDATOR in 1/6, inclusive of a Hound in chains! Remember what I mentioned about liking 1/6-dogs? This is not inclusive, thanks LOL. The figure includes LED light up mask (wow cool), as well shown below is a ground-snap with previously released figures on the movie series: Berserker Predator and Falconer Predator Collectible Figures (Sold separately - but a complete set would indeed be a sight tho).
Interestingly, Hot Toys is set to release vinyl figure sculpts for 8" RANGO and 4" PRISCILLA (first seen here), based on the animated movie (with the voices of Johnny Depp and Abigail Breslin, respectively) under their "MMS Vinyl" line. Quite a leap of production fate for this two actually, although they have in the past released both Carl & Russell from Pixar's UP [featured). To be released as a single RANGO, or a deluxe boxed-set featuring both critters, they are slated for a 2nd quarter 2011 launch.

Also from Lulubell Toys comes "Betty Hairy Honey" - Silent Night version ~ available online here for US$50. Designed by French artist Stephane Blanquet, this 7-inch tall vinyl piece is done in clear smoke vinyl, with metallic spray detailing in the eye, flower & hair, then finished over with a metallic smoke spray overlaid. Seriously one of the most attractive vinyls I've seen, and I am NOT being nasty or sarcastic!
NOWHERE Limited emails in news of the availability of their exclusive colorway of Frank Kozik's DEAD CHE Bust in Grey. Standing 16 inches tall and in an edition of 50 pieces, this vinyl figure will set you back US$200 per ~ Orderable here.
