Custom Works (March/20/2011)

"Choujinki Metalder" custom Nibbler AKA 'Supernibbler Machine' by Chris if The Tarantulas ~ submitted to Troy Stith's "Kaiju For Japan" sale, happening on April 22nd. Also note that this will be the last Nibbler ever released from the original resin mould created in 2008! [via]

"Hope for Japan Uamou" Japan Earthquake Donation via Uamou, with all proceeds going to the Japanese Red Cross Society, to help the people affected by Japan's recent earthquake and tsunami. Priced at 3,000YEN per, currently these is the line-up of custom draws to look out for. Availability does not seen as ascertain yet. [Snaps via]

UK-based customizer Chris Squink offers up a Custom Teeter named TIGRRRR via his online shop for £99.95 per, ready to teeter your way on March 21st @ midnight GMT. But if you're on the Squink-mailing list? You'll have a chance from 9pm GMT onwards! [Sign up here just to be sure, eh?). Personally, this is the sweetest of custom-paints I have seen for this Joe Ledbetter-designed toy, IMHO.

I cannot deny it, the new DIY Foomi form from Kidrobot is getting to me. I'm really beginning to really like it, no doubt due to the varied custom-versions of it I have been seeing online all over, slowly being revealed as the days unfold. Shown above is a sole image of a Betso-custom, while below is Grimsheep's interpretation. Super swell! Look for more to come, in time for the MUNNYWORLD show in April!

Salim Adar first posted an image of his bride on my Facebook, and now he has gone and created a blog to present his paper-mache creations, including the bride named Amarante (on display at Su Vino Winery on Scottsdale, Az) and his interpretation of Michael Jackson below. Hardly a custom "toy" but worth a peep nevertheless. Check out Meatyogre.
