The sheer name itself had me in stitches - this fine Tuesday morning - when I found the link on my
Facebook: "
Dai Fu Lou" is a literal Cantonese translation from "Underwear" ("Dai Fu" - which means big-sized) and "Dude" (or sometimes "Old Guy" - "Lou" means old)!
Created by Jona Lam and Alan Leung,
DaiFuLou>com offers up downloadable paperboy figurine of dudes with Y-front undies as their heads! His origins story is just as funny:
"And so Dai Fu Lou Story would start with Dai Fu Lou who is a person working in a laundry shop and one day there was someone who wants him to go with him to Hong Kong to work for him. However in the end he held Dai Fu Lou captured in China to clean his dirty laundry. Luckly one day Dai Fu Lou got away and went to Hong Kong and found tons of people who are like him and becomes friends and start an adventure."
There is also a blank PDF template of DaiFuLou which you can download or directly print from Scribd.
(The PDF is editable so you can open it with Illustrator to alter it.)
