What's Happening In The Art & Toys World (April/10/2011)

The Vinyl Frontier Brooklyn Lyceum Screening happens Thursday, May 26 (7:30pm - 9:30pm) at The Brooklyn Lyceum, in NYC. Look out for the Q&A with director and artists following screening. Here's the Facebook events-page. Wish TVF could come to Singapore tho.

Rivet presents "April Showers": The cusp of Spring brings this small group show featuring the works of Jeannie Lynn Paske, Cory Benhatzel and Jacqueline Myers-Cho.

Opening reception was on April 2, with the exhibition on display through April 30th. Opening images here, while artwork listing is viewable online here.

Brian Collins prepares to hold his solo show "The Small Game of Revilo" at the Plaza Theatre in Atlanta, launching June 7th (exhibiting thru July 3rd). The opening reception is 8-11pm, with a "special screening" of "The Dark Cyrstal" at 9:30pm. Well cool this! The flyer/postcard image of his work above is splendid. Check out WIPs on his tumblr.

We've posted previews and raved over Masahiro Ito's artwork for his EYE OF THE WOLF Show, now peep the launch snaps on his Facebook.

Rsin Art performs "Live Demo" at BLICK Art Materials on April 27th (4-7pm). Lonnie will be present from 3-ish, so don't forget to bug him and ask him about his work on the MegaMunny (shown above) … oh, and don't forget to say *hi*.

New piece by Jeremy Hush for the Tiny Trifecta group show in NYC. Titled 'Droning Glow' and is finished in ball point pen and watercolor. Ravishing.

TINY TRIFECTA launches April 9th and exhibits thru May 1st. All art will be sold on a first come first serve basis the day of the event. All remaining available artwork will be put up for sale here on the Cotton Candy Machine website on Monday April 10th. www.thecottoncandymachine.com
