Daily Wrap-Up: May 7th 2011 on TOYSREVIL
Saturday May 7th is designated a "public holiday" in Singapore, as it is also "Voting Day" for this nation's General Elections - with votes stopping at 8pm, whereby votes are counted immediately afters. Currently as I type this wrap-up at 12 midnight leading into Sunday, the local television is broadcasting the results of the election "live" (and have been broadcasting since 10pm). "Mountbatten" was the first area to be announced to have been won by PAP, and we await for the rest of the results for Singapore zones to be announced. A watershed moment in this nation's future to come, for sure. I've had my personal encounter with the "present", and I am far from impressed.
Around the world, it's business as usual, with exciting product release news and announcements, and a swell selection of pre-event and post-event coverage on this blog - which you can view at a glance by clicking on the image above. Have a great weekend to come folks! For Sunday will be a brand new day for the nation, as well as Mother's Day!
Cheers
Andy
