Hints and Spices Launch: Meowf & New Toy Launch @ Paper String Plastic (May 28)
Adelaide-based design studio Hints and Spices will be officially launching on the 28th of May with a presentation pf a swell selection of exclusives, original toys, prints, customs, plush, prototypes and more! The main theme of the show is to educate people in the appreciation of designer toys. But just what are Hints and Spices all about? We have a selection of imagery and info to share and tantalize you folks weigh today! First up is the above MEOWF HEAD (keyring / phonestrap) seen here in multiple colors = a new toy sculpted by TOVI – Indented to be a full size toy (which will be announced later in the year). Sculpted by TOVI with casting and painted by Shane Haddy (Some will also have hand painted faces by TOVI) - there will be 10 prototype versions at the show.
Posted here is the first vinyl toy from Hints and Spices! Designed by Shane Haddy, with line work by TOVI. the adorable kaiju-phant is sculpted by Makino-San of TTToy (who also sculpted mini eyezon for Max Toy Co - pink-fig shown here for size comparison), WIPs of which are featured here (Details). The prototype will be on display at the launch along with a few limited edition resins casts. This is so new, the figure is as yet named! (Or rather, the name is not announced yet).
