Superhero-Sunday: Iron Man Homage Painting by NEMO

So what's the story of the above Iron Man painting where he is smoking a dooby? I am a huge fan of John Romita Jr and seeing this homage was a trip! We went straight to the artists' mouth for the reason of being, and Mike "NEMO" Mendez tells it straight:

NEMO: "i recently did a IRON MAN painting for a show that got CANCELED at the last minute, the show was called "MADE IN AMERIJUANA" lol was suppose to help raise money for research (or something like that! LOL) … the show was getting lots of Press so the gallery BAILED, they didn't want to be associated or something! idk, anyhow so i have this painting of a OLD SCHOOL IRON MAN COVER WITH HIM SMOKING A JOINT! LOL hey even iron man smokes a dooby here and there no? hehe"
