Best Use of Sculpting Munny Custom (2nd place) by Abell Octocan for Munnyworld Megacontest
Indonesia-based artist / designer Abell Octovan's Munny submission "Munny Trip To Heaven" saw second placing in the recently announced Munnyworld Megacontest - featuring a n angelic form drifting in-between the clouds and unto a rainbow - yes, this is entirely customer and photographed! The creator of BarkingGun, BoyCott and Lord On Board, this is quite a departure from his usual stylings, but is amazing nevertheless with it's simplicity impacting the subconscious moreso than mere aesthetics, IMHO.
TOYSREVIL: Do you think Indonesia artists/designers are comparable to overseas/western designers?
ABELL OCTOVAN: "Indonesia has a lot of people who are very creative, very very creative, but there are many who are not exposed so it is difficult to compare with international designers. Certainly for the quality of creativity, Indonesia is not far behind with international designers.
