Designing GupGups Submissions Dateline Ending Soon
By tomorrow, we will be no longer be accepting submissions for the Designing GupGups contest. The dateline is scheduled for 11:59PM Singapore time (+8 GMT) on June 20th, whereby entries will go into a Juried session with myself and Nicholas Tay and Andy Yang of GupGups. And from the entries I have received so far, it is indeed going to be an extremely hard time to decide, true story!
While waiting for the juried results - of which two prizes will be given to both BEST DESIGN and BEST USE OF COLOR - all existing submissions will be uploaded and posted unto an album on the GupGups-Facebook - to be opened to the Public for Voting! Yes, YOU decide who gets the prize for the next contest-cycle!
Meantime, feature posts will continue while the Public Voting is going on (for two weeks, you can vote for your favorite by clicking "LIKE" on the images you lure) - and please folks, do not embed your story into the contest submissions - it is unnecessary and not asked for (I can't transcribe them to post on the blog for a feature, and neither will I). And do take note, daily-posts for submissions has been lined-up and will be featured until the Public Vote is announced, so there is no need to attach a story to your entries, well, not if you do not want to anyways.
As a reminder, these prizes are what you could win - courtesy of GupGups Limited!
As much as it is about showcasing your design skills and abilities (surprisingly not a whole of folks attach their website URLs to the submissions), I started the contest because it is also about "participation" and being involved in "creation", even if it is a 2-dimensional-one, the designs are YOURS, and for everyone to see and enjoy, IMHO. And I am really glad to see some familiar names returning (much thanks for the support) and am over-joyed to see new names in this contest = very cool, indeed!
Cheers
Andy
