Total Recall @ San Diego Comic Con 2011
A Police Hovercar from the movie "Total Recall" graces San Diego Comic Con (pics via Latino Review and First Showing) … yes citizens, they are remaking 1990's TOTAL RECALL! Directed by Paul Verhoeven, this was an epic of a film over a decade ago, and remains one of the key films of that era in the genre of sci-fi, IMHO. I actually adored that version. The nasal-extractor sequence remains one of the most haunting film-scenes I can remember LOL
Directed by Lens Wiseman (Underworld, Die Hard 4) based on a short story by Philip K. Dick, the movie is to star Colin Farrell as "Doug Quaid/Hauser" (formerly played by Arnold Schwarzenegger - in a role of a lifetime primarily with his shirt on), Kate Beckinsale is "Lori" (formerly played by Sharon Stone) and Jessica Biel is "Melina" (Rachel Nicotin / Hauser's moll). A pretty attractive cast, I must admit (who could ever forget Kate in the garage in Underworld 2?). The first instance I read this was going to be remade, I thought: "Serious WTF?" … I reckon I need more convincing with a trailer or some-sort. Nevertheless, an attractive cast, indeed!

"As the nation states Euromerica and New Shanghai vie for supremacy, a factory worker (Farrell) begins to suspect that he's a spy, though he is unaware which side of the fight he's on." [IMDb]. Total Recall premieres August 3rd, 2012.
