Shin Tanaka and Naoko Shimojo has collaborated with MAQUET to produce a series of Artist Edition Danke Schoen bears, with this Patchwork bear as the debut piece -shown below-left is the Patchwork design, while below-right is the sign of things to come. And if the name is familair, tis bcause Frank Kozik recently released his "Heathrow" under their brand.
Scheduled for a release on Thursday, August 4th, Patchwork Dankeschoen will be available in a limited edition of 25 MAQETs via www.maqet.com/shop. Standing 4.5 inches tall, the Patchwork Dankeschoen edition (are made of Plastin®, a material that combines the appealing aspects of plastic and porcelain) is hand-finished in a smooth, clear coat and is priced at US$50 each - and come individually numbered.
