happy birthday cikcuk: cikcuk toy lounge @ lou belle shop (Oct 22)
Celebration of “happy birthday cikcuk” features the cikcuk 5th anniversary toy lounge opening at Lou Belle Shop in Bandung, Indonesia on October 22nd (from 7pm-10pm) - and with it comes a series of launches, including their "99 resin series" with My Tummy Toys, and collaboration-fashion launches with the bandung brand Sideways and Skelly. PRESS-RELEASE: cikcuk is a german artists manuel heischel and a german designer matthias specht who found cikcuk in 2006 in bandung indonesia and develop cikcuk since then in indonesia and germany into wide fields of creative industries.
basicly this event will be a toy launge of the finaly created cikcuk 99 resin series designed by cikcuk and produced by the bandung-indonesia based art toys company my tummy toys and it will be a little birthday party for the fith aniversery of cikcuk.
beside the main act – the 99 resin series lounge – their will be a supported little show of furhter art works of cikcuk. like a 3d animated movie, which is done with a 3d virtual effect studio from jakarta-indonesia, which is a little trailor for the 99 resin series toy launge. further more two collaborations with two fashion brands from indonesia.
the first is sideways from bandung. The resulted product will be a turtelneck sweater, wich is redesigned by cikcuk. the brand is doing mainly tops (t shirts, sweaters, hoodies, cardigans) in their very own fashion design. the collaboration was born when cikcuk came to lou belle and found a very intersting turtelneck swaeter from sideways. this item craps the attention and imideatly the contact via phone was biuld to one of the owners of sideways and a meeting for a collaboration about this turtelneck was arranged. And the perfect time to launge the collaboration is the time for toy launge, therefore another decision was beeing made, to put the collaboration as support act into the the 99 resin sereis launge. beside the turtelneck a few photographs will be shown too, which in the end show the fashion photographs about the turtelneck.
the second brand is skellys from jakarta. This rsulted collaboration relates to a relationship since 2009. Cikcuk and the owners met at a exhibition back then and talked about a possibillity to collaborate in certain products of skelly’s. Finally this year the ideas are clear and ready to be shown as support act for the the 99 resin sereis launge. The resulted products will be a jeans of japanese cutton, a shirt and a hoody jacket all designed by cickuk. All products fallow the very need design standard and quality of skelly, one reason why the collaboration was born and put under the tag line traditional quality craftsmanship, both cikcuk in designing toys and skellys in designing fashion, need a very high sense of pasion and quality to bring their products to life.
the location and host of the launge will be lou belle shop in bandung and the date for that event will be the 22.10.2011. opening is 7pm-10pm.
