KAWS for Whitewall's Winter Luxury Issue

Whitewall’s winter Luxury issue will premiere during Art Basel Miami Beach 2011 (in two weeks' time) with a cover featuring KAWS (the first for the magazine, and TOYSREVIL is grateful to be emailed this info). The result is two unique and playful covers, currently available for pre-order on Whitewallmag.com in the “Subscribe” section (US$25 each including shipping, or US$45 for the pair including shipping).


After its premier in Miami, the winter issue will be for sale on newsstands (for $25/19 Euros) starting December 5. The issue features a 12-page studio visit feature on the artist including an in-depth interview, portraits of the artist by Steve Benisty, images of his new work, and KAWS’ own sketches and blueprints of his sculptures and paintings.

“The works sort of overgrow into each other. It’s like learning to swim. You step into the water up to your ankles, then your knees, and then suddenly your feet don’t touch the floor. That’s how I feel the works become.” ~shares KAWS in his interview with Whitewall.
