About Natsuki from Summer Wars
To complete my current obsession with Figmas of King Kazma and Love Machine, here's a look at the OZ-avatar of Natsuki Shinohara = the female protagonist of 2009's Summer Wars, and the object of male lead Kenji Koiso's affections.
As the "real world" character, Natsuki is unassuming and has been released as a Pinky Street figurine (pretty apt but not too impressive, IMHO). But as the online character, she would make a real interesting figurine!
Natsuki helmed the character in the climatic battle against Love Machine via a card game gamble, and provided folks with a teary triumphant moment when … well, you'll have to watch the movie to find out for yourselves (so do not watch the SPOILER video below ;p). Sure she did not have a whole range of motions in the movie to warrant a fully-articukated Figma-fig, but hey, she'll look great next to Kazma and Kenji's avatar - ala the movie poster, no? :)
Natsuki possesses two image changes in OZ and they look pretty neat to be had as toys - but alas, they are not made officially into articulated figurines. Would be awesome tho, wouldn't it? There was this statuette done tho….
