ALIEN vs Prometheus
It did not occur to me (or rather my poor memory failed me) but the similarities between Ridley Scott's PROMETHEUS and his ALIENS trailers were so visually obvious, especially with a re-viewing of the Aliens DVD on Friday!
The fonts appearing at the top-part of the screen, the audio sirens on repeat - especially on the movie trailers, were exact replicas! And while there has been debate on whether Prometheus was a prequel or some-such connection to the Alien/s-lore, it doesn't matter to me much, as I am happy to see Sir Ridley tackle a sci-fi film again after all these years. And while the trailer shown below might not be "new" - go check out the Prometheus-Facebook page for a series of stills celebrating their crossing the 200K-fans mark!
FYI: "Prometheus" refers to the name of the space-ship carrying the crew, while "Nostromo" was the name for the ship for the 'Alien'-movie. The "U.S.S. Sulaco" was the name of the ship in the sequel 'Aliens', which I did not really care much for LOL
