ARKIVENTURES @ FLABSLAB (Nov 16)
Scheduled for a Friday, November 16, 2012 launch @ FLABSLAB (at 7:30pm) is ARKIVENTURES - Arkiv's 2nd solo show in Singapore. I've recently posted about their collaborative MICKIV resin figure (which has since been Sold Out), so it'll be interesting to see any further three-dimensional sculpts on show, besides the painted canvases. EVENT-PRESS: FLABSLAB presents Arkiventures, the 2nd solo show in Singapore of internationally celebrated Indonesian artist, Arkiv Vilmansa. Playing on the pun of adventure, this exhibition is the psychedelic explosion of Arkiv’s articulated blueprint of an intangible cartoon war raged between two of the world’s greatest cartoon houses ever introduced to mankind.
Arkiventures is the abstract visualization of the universe that unravels in Arkiv’s vivid and explicit imagination of Looney Toons and Disney cartoon characters entangled in a power struggle to emerge the ultimate Super Power of the tooney realm.
Arkiventures will be held at FLABSLAB from 16 to 30 November 2012, 10.00am to 7.00pm (weekdays) and 1.00pm to 6.00pm (weekends). Paintings and sculptures will be available for sale during the exhibition. Opening night on 16 November 2012 from 7.30pm till late.
