Something folks might not necessarily want to see, or know of, much less "accept" … be it shoes, bags, whatever first world consumerism is concerned, and this is the first time I have seen "toys" in reference to this malady … I might not know the "reality" or authenticity of this, so it's just "food for thought", I reckon. "Haunting", nevertheless.
