What We Know About: Jaeger GYPSY DANGER (for "Pacifc Rim")
Here is what I have gathered about the USA-based Jaeger codenamed "GYPSY DANGER" (from the "leaked" blueprints and previously released SDCC poster image):
01. It stands 88 meters / 288 Feet tall (The faux news report mentions that the "beast" seen was about "300ft tall", so they match face-to-face = NICE)
02. Launch Date is 07-10-2017 ("Launched" for WHAT, I'm curious to know…)
03. PPDC Assignment: Anchorage Shatterdome, USA
04. It features a "Bilateral Pilot Rig" encased in the head of the Jaeger - as operated by two pilots - as played in the movie by Charlie Hunnam ("Sons of Anarchy") and Rinko Kikuchi ("Babel"). I wonder which Jaeger Idris Elba will be piloting tho…
05. Interesting that the specs for "Nuclear Vortex Turbine" had been cancelled off on the blueprint … gives me a feeling "Gypsy" might not last long enough to see the end of the movie … or maybe they go and make a new "Gypsy" in the end? *hhhmmmmm*
06. Loving the specs for the "I-19 PLASMACASTER": "Particle Dispersal Cannon fires plasma via charged Ion Carrier Rail. Capable of both wounding and cauterizing kaiju anatomy, sealing off toxic bleeds." = Yes, there be lazers! WHOO-HOO!
07. It's body color is blue-grey with red accents and gold visors.
08. It has a gramophone's horn shaped chest attachment to blast at the kaiju with boyband music to quell it's destructive path … (ok, so maybe not exactly that … heh)
COMMENTARY: "Gypsy Danger" possesses one of the more anatomically humanoid body-forms (compared to the other Jaegers), but with longer bottom torso and legs. Nevertheless would make great fun as an action figure (*cough*)
ADDITIONAL: No mention of an additional hand-carried weapon (yes, I am thinking of Japanese anime LOL) - be it a blade, much less a hand-operated gun, but who knows, right? So what else have I missed? Yes, I am nerding out here - can you blame me? hahahaha
