"Action Jackson" by Ron English for (In)Action Figure Show
Subversive Artist Ron English's submission for the (In)Action Figure Show at Clutter Gallery is "ACTION JACKSON" - which besides the eye-opening purchase price of US$4,000 per - is a hilarious take on "Action Man/G.I. Joe", now seen in a receding hairline! (Kinda reminds me of how Bruce Willis' "Joe Colton" would be in 'G.I.Joe Retaliation' ~heh). But this Joe/Jackson seems "retired" from a Life Of War, as he now holds a paintbrush instead of a rifle.
ITEM DESCRIPTION: "Ron English's tribute to artist Jackson Pollock, customized out of a 12" tall (1/6th Scale) action figure and housed in a specially made 13" tall and 5" wide/deep display case. Entitled "Action Jackson," this amazing piece is signed by English on the back."
