What Is "Art"? Crushed Cans in Porcelain by Lei Xue

This image posted on Ai Wei Wei's "open community" Facebook page had gotten me pretty fascinated with the notion behind the imagery. And while I am not going to attempt to philosophize the not-so-nuanced depiction of traditional chinese craft versus the modern decadence/excess of crushed drink cans (Boingboing mentions it to be the art of Lei Xue) but am loving the crossovermashupwhatevertermstopigeonholethiswork, and provides a pop cultural slant to the oft-heavy-handed and quitefranklymissused term "ART".
