Land Shark Plush by Monster Factory (for "Is This Thing On #2 Too")

Monster Factory created a one-of-a-kind plush design for Gallery 1988's group show: "Is This Thing On #2 Too", a tribute to SNL, based on the vintage Land Shark sketch. He is priced at $275, and is available to purchase directly here. The show itself launched March 29th and exhibits thru April 20th, 2013 at Gallery 1988's 7308 Melrose location.

"For this show, artist were asked to create work based on the memorable sketches from SNL's long history. For Monster Factory it was a no-brainer to base their piece on the Land Shark sketch because of their big love of all things shark related and their designers' nostalgic connection to vintage SNL.

A classic SNL sketch, Land Shark is a "Jaws" parody from the show's first season. Played by Chevy Chase in a latex shark costume, the deadly Land Shark preyed upon young, single women. Under the guise of a plumber, candy gram delivery, or dolphin, the Land Shark would lure his victims to open their apartment doors and then swallow them whole!"
