UME Toys: Q&A + Seen @ ToyConUK 2013
Check out the Q&A with Richard Page of UME Toys (who shares a table with Jon-Paul Kaiser) at ToyConUK, along with judicious images swiped from Evan Morgan's Facebook! *Read-ON!*
TOYSREVIL: You've been to Cons in the U.S. before …. so how was ToyConUK for you? Your impressions? Was it what you expected it to be?
RICHARD PAGE: Toyconuk was great we were kept busy all day, chatting, drawing and selling stuff. The atmosphere was fantastic and the day flew past. We shared the booth with JPK which was a blast and I think the no-expense spent booth banner really help draw in the crowds (thanks to Kelly for the graphics).
TOYSREVIL: Tell us what you had on your table! And which of your items had the warmest reception / best response?
RICHARD PAGE: We had a great day re-homing lots of resin goodies to UME collectors. The show was the first outing of Dita and Harrington which both were received really well. Party and Pepper were popular girls on the day and good old Martin Longbottom and Russell bone represented the UME boys. We have a few left over times in the UME store @ http://umetoys.bigcartel.com.
TOYSREVIL: Any suggestions to make the event even more awesome in the future?
RICHARD PAGE: I wish that I had of had more time to go and see everyone and look at their awesome booths, I only managed to pop over and talk to TruTek. The venue was compact but the organisers did an amazing job at keeping everyone happy with lots to see and do (hats off to the toyconuk team). Maybe a little larger venue and more tickets for the public.
