TOYSREVIL: With your successes with customs so far, why the DIY figure? Why now?
QUICCS: I built the DIY version for upcoming collaborations with other friend artists and local artists in Manila whom I want to introduce to the toy scene in mind primarily. I envisioned theTEQ63 to have a lot of versions across a lot of collaborations, of which the EGGTEQ is the first with Egg Fiasco. Among the artists that I want to collaborate with, most of them aren't that familiar with sculpting.
TOYSREVIL: Tell us a bit more about the TEQ63: Zero1, and why is it shaped + designed the way it looks now.
QUICCS: The TEQ63 model as it is now, is quite hard to customize and has a limited surface area open for the customizing / painting of others. With the TEQ63 Zero1, I redesigned a new head with a lot of free space in it, open to so many possibilities in many genres when you look at it. I also went with the all plain hoodie with no logos and shoes without details to widen the customizer's options even more.
