"Maid Dreamin" (Maid Cafe) @ Bangkok Comic Con 2014

What totally surprised me at last weekend's Bangkok Comic Con 2014 was the presence of a "Maid Cafe" - tucked at one end of the event hall - with this Japanese-Otaku concept section covered with panels but for the entrance, featuring large/full-panel blowup images of the "maids"! I felt I was transported back in Singapore for Anime Festival Asia hahahaha
This lifestyle trend is spreading across Asia, being a part of conventions now … in lieu of interior photos, here are some snaps of the panels instead … and stand by for when AFA goes Thailand! *True Story*

"Maid cafés (メイド喫茶 / メイドカフェ Meido kissa / Meido kafe) are a subcategory of cosplay restaurants found predominantly in Japan. In these cafés, waitresses dressed in maid costumes act as servants, and treat customers as masters (and mistresses) in a private home, rather than as café patrons" (Wiki)
