Titanium Toyz for #NYCC New York Comic Con
For the coming New York Comic Con 2014 (Oct 9-12), Tony Titanium will be releasing "Titanum Sentinels" and "Hello Coatlicue", done in collaboration with Alpha Godz and the well known Latin American artist, Miguel Trelles. Let's do a walk thru, shall we?
ABOUT TITANIUM SENTINELS: "… these sculptures are painted with a color shift paint that changes color depending on the lighting. They are all hand casted, assembled, and painted by Antonio "titanium" Montalvo. They stand at 10 inches tall and there are very limited quantities. They will be exclusively available at the Alpha Godz Ent. Booth 111 at NYCC 2014. Priced at $150 each."
HELLO COATLICUE PRODUCT: "The sculpture stands at 11 inches tall and is solid resin. Each piece is hand made and will be exclusively available at the Alpha Godz Booth #111, in The Block area of the NYCC. Each piece is priced at $350 USD.."
ABOUT HELLO COATLICUE: "Hello Coatlicue is a representation of the Aztec goddess of the same name, as if she was a pop cartoon icon. “She of the serpent skirt” already has a basalt monolith within the Aztec culture. She is a goddess, a symbol of the earth and is both creator and destroyer, as well as the mother of the gods and mortals. The dualism that she embodies is powerfully concretized in her image: a face of two fanged serpents and her breasts are flabby (seeing as she has nourished so many). Yet she still manages to wear her dress and bow to doll it up for the masses."
