The Coming of SOUL BUDDIES from Bubi Au Yeung x Toy Art Gallery

Toy Art Gallery collaborates with Hong Kong designer Bubi Au Yeung to produce a new series of mini gacha figures dubbed, "SOUL BUDDIES". Comprising of members "Dinox" (carrying the death certificate to prove its non-existence), "Pan Pan" (last surviving creature of its species and his ancient soul is there to protect him), "Duckee", "Big Brain", "Soul Keeper" and "Joo Joo" (check out their profiles posted below!).


Interesting as these characters - though retains a "cute" aesthetic of Bubi's earlier creations (Treeson / Bearycalm / I Am OK) - possesses intriguingly dire and even somewhat quasi-macabre stories about them, and I LIKE IT!

Featuring sculpting by Jorge Mcswiney @macsorro, expect to see the original prototypes to be on display at the TAG booth in DesignerCon 2014 (Nov 8-9)!
