The Sucklord's The White Rider: Art Show & Toy Release at Ghost Robot (Feb 26)
In 2011, The Sucklord was in a reality TV show named "WORK of ART: The Next Great Artist" (Season 2, which I tracked + watched relentlessly, mind you) whereby in the first episode he created a piece, for which I excruciatingly+politely describe as "delightful and childlike innocent"…
"The first challenge on this program was to re-interpret a piece of "Kitchy" artwork, selected by the artists from a collection of works provided by the show's producers. The result is "The White Rider" (seen above right). Not content with the response for it, or perhaps he needed to revisit a shamed past with a do-over, The Sucklord will be re-releasing the Tolkien inspired Bootleg Wizard, his compatriots and Sauron (featured up top) at Ghost Robot in Williamsburg, Brooklyn on February 26th (346 Grand street 7:30-10:30) as part of their Grand Quarterly Collection … and you know what? Happy Do-Over That Toy-Biatch, Sucklord!
The Art Show & Toy Release will feature beats by The Crystal Pharoah + Live D&D by 20 Sided store + Grand Quarterly Zine release and the premiere of a short film (about the Sucklord) by Joey Garfield.
