WHAT-IS: "MOURNING APPARITIONS is a three-artist show launching at Stranger Factory on July 3rd - featuring new works from Kathie Olivas, Lana Crooks, and Michele Lynch. Opening Reception is Friday, July 3rd (6pm-9pm) where Kathie Olivas and Lana Crooks will be in attendance. The Mourning Apparitions exhibition will be on display until August 2nd."

Her works in this particular aesthetic has astounded and delighted me to no end, IMHO, and am constantly looking out for more :)
WHO-IS: "Chicago-based, Lana Crooks, is best known for her soft specimen-style sculpture. For Crooks, Mourning Apparitions is an opportunity to honor the realm of ghostly apparitions which pair well with her iconic, vintage style. We can expect to see 15-20 textile sculpts, elegantly displayed in shadow boxes, miniature museum cases, and bell jars."
