Awesome Toy Announces Awesome TV Sofubi

Apart from the TV shell that can be customized just like traditional platform toys. The fun of "Awesome TV" is more about customizing the TV screen. "Awesome TV" can be purchased as the tv screen cuts or uncut. To offer more options for your customization. When the screen is uncut. You can paint directly on the vinyl surface or put a sticker on top of the screen just like those cheap old toys. When the screen is cut, the screen can insert a print, drawing, photography, anything. Similar the functions of photo frame. Or it can be displayed as hallow screen and put anything inside. Awesome Toy announces their latest project - the Awesome TV sofubi platform toy - with images posted here include explanation from the Hong Kong-based toymaker! Shown above is a color prototype and below is a vinyl test-shot. The idea we make “Awesome TV" are inspired by platform toys. Most of the platform toys are character based. Offered as a blank canvas for artists to paint on. Compare to designer vinyl, custom scene in sofubi world seems more interesting. From coloring to the way to customize the piece for technique such as insert, mash up... Thanks for the soft material, sofubi can easily to cut holes and mash up as head for other figures. or adding new legs, parts to make a new character. We don't think everyone who able to draw will also have the skill to paint in a 3 dimensional canvas platform toy. So we think it might be great to make our own platform toy that come with a flat surface that can easy to paint on. At the end we didn’t make any character based design after all. And come up with the idea of Awesome TV.
