RAKU The Wooden Samurai by Pepe Hiller Unleashes Sept 30
After quite a long break from making wood toys (my last post was dated July 2012!), Pepe Hiller is BACK, and boy is he back with a treat for collectors! "RAKU" the Wooden Samurai will be released via pepehiller.storenvy.com on September 30th 2015 | 22:00 CEST (16:00 EST)!
This 5 inch Wood Toy is in a Limited Edition of only 5 Figures, each priced at US$120, and does he look handsome! Check out Pepe's WIPs here on Flickr. It has been far too log since we've seen Pepe's clean angular designs on wood, so here's hoping this time he'll stay around a little bit longer :)
MAKE: "RAKU is handcrafted out of alder, walnut and smoked oak wood and has a small brass hearth on his chest. Each figure features a sword out of beautiful grained wenge wood with brass parts and a dark leather handle. The figure has a semi gloss finish and each piece is signed and numbered by the artist (embossed)." (Read more here)
