KAWS COMPANION Open & Flayed Editions Available Online Nov 5th to Japan Only
I’ve a few images to share, with regards to the KAWS COMPANION (Open / Flayed Edition) collectibles released recently (Where The End Starts on October 20th) - first up, the new Edition is confirmed at 11-inch tall, compared to the earlier release which stood at 16”, while much earlier reports had it at 8” tall (Dude, 3” difference might make or break a decision to score it for US$200, IMHO :p) … with these images posted here courtesy of Bjorn Lim (@kopiwriter) - used with kind permission.
FYI: The above pic is the new Flayed Edition standing in front of a bootleg (“The OriginalFake and original fake” haha), while featured below are the “legit” pieces.
For folks in Japan (and only in Japan, but I reckon serious collectors like yourselves would know how to circumvent that :p), Medicom Toy has since announced the launch of ALL the Open Editions (including “Flayed” Edtions) from November 5th, via Medicom Toy Plus, with each 280mm all (about the height of a 400% BE@RBRICK) priced at 21,600 Yen (approx US$209 / SG$290). ※Sales will end when stocks are sold out.
I do not have any tangible information nor have I seeked confirmation, but I reckon it might take some time before the editions are made available everywhere else, perhaps? Check in with your fav retailer(s) for availability, or stalk the usual online auction sites to sate your need for instantaneous toy gratification, no worries :)

FYI: Hey! I know the feels, alright? As the Dissected Companion had been one of my toy-grails for yeaaaars, and had but given up scoring the earlier releases (in lieu of the bootleg versions which are readily available), but for the advent of the Open Editions! I HAD TOY HOPE, people!
But alas, I cannot afford sh*t now, so I am out of the game … but rest assured will be cheering YOU folks on, on the sidelines! Don’t go crazy for the flipped prices, yo!
