Anime Character Ambassadors for Tokyo Olympics 2020

Remember the announcement video of the Tokyo Olympics with Japanā€™s Prime Minister Shinzo Abe during the closing ceremony of the Rio Games (in August 21, 2016) - ā€œcosplayingā€ as ā€œSuper Marioā€? A new announcement sees Son Goku of ā€œDragonball Zā€, with ā€œNarutoā€ of ā€œNaruto Shippudenā€, ā€œLuffyā€ from ā€œOne Pieceā€, ā€œCrayon Shin Chanā€, ā€œPretty Guardianā€, ā€œSailor Moonā€, ā€œYo-Kai Watchā€ and ā€œAstroboyā€ as co-ambassadors!

These are not the ā€œGame Mascotsā€ tho, as they are still being deliberated on ā€¦ I particularly appreciate the embracing of these fictional characters as an aspect of ā€œJapanese Cultureā€, perhaps also providing a connection to the ā€œyoungerā€ set ā€¦ AND also makes for good merchandising, methinks!
