Introducing “nu:synth initiative” = an original creators action figure project from 1000toys with RealxHead, Toy Pizza & Onell Design!

Japanese toy maker 1000toys is proud to announce the launch of the nu:synth initiative - an artist collaboration series in 1/12 scale. This new line of action figures takes characters designed by independant toy artists and melds them with the super-articulated body of the 6-inch Synthetic Human figure to create a bold range of new and exciting action figures.
"The 'Synthetic Human' was created with renowned manga artist Tsutomu Nihei and comes from his original series 'TOA Heavy Industries'. The original 1/6 version produced by 1000toys gained worldwide popularity, and spawned a highly sought-after series of 12-inch figures. In 2016, 1000toys took it to the next level by releasing a 1/12 version of the Synthetic Human - re-engineered to maintain the incredible articulation while increasing affordability."

>>> NEXT MAN SYNTH with RealxHead (realxhead.jp)

"Mori Katsura is the man behind RealxHead and has been making Japanese Sofubi (soft vInyl) toys since 2003. His designs have always had a strong tokusatsu (Japanese live-action) hero influence. Next Man was the final character released in his seminal Mutant Zone series back in 00’s and has since made many appearances in various guises in RealxHead’s larger scale Chaosman line of figures. At the Five Points Festival 1000toys unveiled the sculpt for the nu:synth initiative version of the character - Next Man Synth. More accessories and colorways to be revealed."

>>> GLYOSYNTH with Onell Design (onelldesign.com)

”Onell Design is an independent toy company and artist collective. Founder Matt Doughty developed the Glyos Joint system to create an original building system. His own line of Glyos figures debuted at San Diego Comic con in 2007 and the Glyos Joint system is now shared across over 20 independently created toy lines that can all be mixed and matched. Stay tuned for the unveiling of the Onell Design entry to the nu:synth initiative line-up.
