Living The Batam #TOYLIFE

It had been a busy week last, filled with (non-blog) work, and truthfully very little chance for a #toylife, except for a few purchases in a quick 2-day getaway to the neighbouring Batam island - in the form of plastic banks, showcased here (they were all I could afford anyways :p) … in lieu of the bootleg “Big Bang Theory” Lego playset, bootleg Darth Vader torchlight (which would’ve made for a “swell” Force Friday post :p), and the insanely adorable but utterly bootleg “squishy” toys that flooded the malls!

But enough about what I couldn’t afford! We make our #toylife in whatever ways we can, right? Please allow me to introduce my Monkeys and Swan! :)

Granted, these are hardly "art toys" or highly desired collectibles in the eyes of the toy world, but I am so proud of finding these kitschy stuff, and barely even bargained their prices down too! Funny thing was, I'd gone to Batam not expecting to buy anything - in fact giving myself a challenge to NOT BUY anything (other than food) ... but alas, I padded my push-luggage full before night-fall on the first day LOL

Ironically, what I had paid for these guys (less than SG$10), would probably not have gotten me much of anything at the coming weekend's STGCC anyways ... *le-sob*

Cheers
