Seen@STGCC2017: Nu:Synth & ROBOX Action Figures from 1000toys
On display at the 1000toys’ booth at Singapore Toy, Games & Comic Con 2017 (Sept 9-10), were a splendid line-up of articulated figures comprising characters from “Knights of the Slice”, and “Next Man Synth” (a collaboration between RealxHead and 1000toys) - part of the nu:synth initiative series one (a new 1000toys artist collaboration series in 1/12 scale / previously featured).
Hear tell from the “Toy Whisperer” himself Don “Datadub” Kratzer that there will be THREE heads to be had from RealxHead, so that’s pretty exciting! And the closest we have of seeing the action figure from Onell Design’s Matt Doughty was actually the raygun itself!
But what was ALSO as interesting was the figures from “ROBOX” - designed by uber-amazing illustrator Kim Jung Gi! The prototypes were on-hand for folks to configure and play with, while the additional snap shown here is the “fully dressed” version! The figure “transforms” out of a “block of tech” (much like “Transformers”), and wields a shield and weapon? I’d love to know more about that too!
Stay tuned to @1000toys on IG for updates.
