The Coming of PEACE MONSTER by KXX x INSTINCTOY

This caught my undivided attention: “PEACE MONSTER” as designed by Taiwanese artist, Kea Tsai AKA KXX, and to be produced by Japan's INSTINCTOY!

The visual of a HAND or "hand-gestures" in place of a character's torso/body is not a new concept, and as well there have been plenty of "Mickey Mouse"-white gloved hands influences and homages to go around, not to mention the hand "flipping the bird" ... but the "monsterous"-face underneath the torn glove, is a nice touch, IMHO.

And I'd be very interested to know WHY this character is named "Peace Monster"... :)


And while I'd not be familiar with the artist's work (forgive my ignorance), I had remembered the visual of the hand, used in his solo show "PISSPEACE" (circa Taipei Toy Festival 2017 / featured above), and as well a showing at the recent Shanghai Toy Show 2018 (Images featured below via).
