Singapore Toy, Game & Comic Convention 2018 (8-9 Sept): Tickets Launched & First Wave of Invited Guests Revealed!
Tickets for this year's edition of the annual Singapore Toy, Game & Comic Con has since launched online here, for the event scheduled on the weekend of September 8-9th at Marina Bay Sands Convention Center, as well the first reveal of Invited Guests - which include Comic illustrators David Finch ("Batman" and "The New Avengers"), Mark Brooks ("Star Wars: Han Solo"), Ryan Meinerding (his Marvel Cinematic Universe concept design for Captain America: Civil War has since been announced to be made 1/6th from Hot Toys!), and THE name which got my undivided attention (and perhaps the main allure for me to visit STGCC this year): Range Murata ("Last Exile", "Shangri-La", "Blue Submarine No.6") = OMFG! ... Maybe I'll get my Pinky:St. series signed ... heh :p
Entertainment-wise, a rising star in Japan’s EDM scene YUC’e comes across to our shores. Check out a sample of her "Cinnamon Symphony" EP (now available on Bandcamp).
Entrance prices have risen this year though, with a STGCC x GGXP Pass currently priced at $20.50 (from $25.00) for one-day entry, to a "VIP Loot Pack" priced at $150.00. STGCC x GGXP 2 Day Pass at SG$32 is listed as an "Online Exclusive".
This year's co-branding "STGCC x GGXP" features a partnership with Gam3.Asia and Asus, where three live gaming tournaments will take center stage at the GGXP ("Good Gaming Experience"). A separate stand-alone cost for GGXP is currently priced at SG$10 (Usual SG$13 per).
