UNBOX PRESS: "Yoyo Yeung has recently emerged as one of the hottest new prospects in the next generation of young artists immersing themselves in the world of Art Toys.

Her first in a series of collaborations with Unbox is Summersoul 2018 limited edition of "The Kenneth Fox" as previously seen in her publication about the character Influenced by her time studying in the UK and her passion of vintage English illustration.

Yoyo sculpted her character in a completely different style from her recent works with the intention of branching into a brand new direction that will compliment her existing body of work in soft vinyl.
Each figure is presented on a the walnut base that is individually numbered by laser engraving."

Recently I was asked : Why is Kenneth so realistic comparing to Yoki ? Kenneth was born way before Yoki. I created him when I was studying university, he is the main character of my illustration book SLEEPOVER, which is the final project of my school day. I presented the plush and sculpture of Kenneth during my graduation show. With the magic power from the Natural History Museum, Kenneth became alive from the Fennec Fox plush. The setting of Kenneth and Yoki are actually not in the same world, they are two different series. Kenneth is a bit more realistic. At the beginning I was aiming to illustrate animals living and acting like human beings, showing that they have their own society. For Yoki, his story is based on the universe. The theme of this series is a bit more cute ~ the innocent Yoki will be meeting different creatures ~ 偶爾會有人來和我反應～ Kenneth為什麼那麼寫實？ 其實Kenneth是我在大學期間設定的一個繪本角色，他比Yoki要早出生～ 在大學畢業展我展出了自己製作的毛絨Kenneth，雕塑Kenneth，和Sleepover繪本。因博物館的神奇力量將Kenneth從一隻耳廓狐毛絨復活，在Sleepover的繪本故事之後他會開始踏上自己的探索之旅。 Kenneth 和 Yoki 是兩個不同的系列。Kenneth偏向寫實風格，反應動物自己像人類般思考和生活的世界。Yoki的系列是發生在宇宙的故事，風格偏向可愛的設定，天生無邪的主角Yoki會遇到很多不同的奇妙外星生物～ #動物 #動物のイラスト #博物館 #自然に #naturalhistory #naturalhistorymuseum #drawing #artwork #art #animal #sketching #watercolour #fennecfox #fox#yoyoyeung
