Goto-san custom painted UGLY KAIJU from David Horvath for Taipei Toy Festival 2018
I've always wondered why this did not happen before, but seeing images of this, brings much excitement to my toy-loving heart, and no doubt to the folks heading to the coming Taipei Toy Festival 2018 (October 18-21), for when they'll have direct access to these sofubi Ugly Kaiju from David Horvath (*who will be making his TTF debut), painted by Goto-san of Japan!
WAGE and ICEBAT were unleashed into the toy-wild from nearly a decade ago (produced by In The Yellow), and what a fitting revisit for this "10th year anniversary" (not officially named so) release! ... oooohhh I don't see BABO or MY FRIEND DAVE tho...
"All of our sofuvi proudly displays the mark “Made In Japan”. This comes from our love for the toys we grew up with, and our passion for the process by which they were produced right here... in many cases in the very same neighborhoods so many decades ago.
There are plenty of wonderful soft vinyl toys we love which are made in China, Korea and Thailand, including many Japanese brand soft vinyl toys made in China currently available from series like Ultraman and Super Sentai Hero ... we love all kinds as they come to life through creativity, story and expression.
Our joy comes from bringing you items made on the same grounds which gave birth to the many toys, products and stories which inspired us to produce our own toys and tell stories through play.
