Sesameseedcat's UNIMAN by Mighty Jaxx @ Illustration Arts Fest 2018
With the reveal of colored images from Mighty Jaxx (which I'd been "waiting" for :p), I thought it would be the perfect time to have a closer look at the upcoming "UNIMAN" collectible (all 3 on display), not forgetting his bestie "WASABI" - as designed+created by local / Singapore-based illustrator Ning Chen AKA @sesameseedcat!
I had the opportunity to paw (I shamelessly asked to :p) the unpainted 3D-printed figurines on display at her table at the recent Illustration Arts Fest (table snaps since previously posted).
Scheduled for a October 6th release on mightyjaxx.com, there are 5 x designs to collect. As we await further product and availability details for this upcoming blind boxed series, scroll thru for video(s), and find out WHO is "UNIMAN"?
WHO IS UNIMAN?: "Uniman is a sole sliver of a sea urchin. One day, he wakes up in a fish market in Tsukiji, waiting to be eaten. Having never seen the outside world before, he was strangely fascinated by it. So he said to himself, 'Oh no! I better try everything at least once before I get eaten up.' And with that, he plucks up all his little courage and escaped from his little shell." (Source)
