#TTF2018 Online Field Report (Day 3/4)
And while I am physically NOT at this year's Taipei Toy Festival 2018 (October 18-21), I'd attempt to do a semblance of a "online field report" of the annual event - based off of my social media feeds (*Folks interested to share your goodies are to tag me #toysrevil, thanks) ... ONWARDS!

A "surprise" release yesterday at TTF was a new colorway for LABUBU CAT RIDER from @kasinglung x @shonside, available via lottery sales with a signing session at The Little Hut Booth A19! (Additional snaps of both SPACE DREAM and the collabo figure by 周嘉慶). The figure was priced at NT$3000.
I had planned for a individual feature but I reckon it may happen only when the event ends, so here's a look at new colorways for INU-HARIGON and (chibi) KIBUNADON from @teresachiba, to be available from Paradise Booth A20,21,23 (who is as well hosting her appearance at TTF). These new colorways will also be released at DesignerCon 2018 (Nov 16-18), so plan accordingly!
And did you notice that HUGE "INU-HARIGON" displayed at the back row? Schweet!
If you have been following my blog for some time now, you would've noticed my particular preference for toys of the "cutesy" persuasion, most times in the Japanese-anime-esque aesthetic, unashamedly so ... and the character designs of @hakuro129 has been on my mind since featuring her "Ocean exploration robot DENSHITAKO No.3"! #mangush
The OG red is NT$1,300, while the TTF limited pineapple color is NT$1,500 per. Look for them at the TOUMA TROOPER Collective Booth A95! Now, I need to find a way to add them to my own collection....
Very randomly spotted on IG, is news of @cote_escriva's "Creepy G" Mono Edition available via @thunder_mates at Booth A83 - and apparently since "Sold Out", with a limited number set aside for online sales. No on-site images to share, but for these studio-snaps :p
I previously featured a colored edition released during YO'HOOD 2018, hence the recognition.
"Hooded Sufferings : Oracle Linda" is the name of this collectible from South Korean @abel_choryeon at Boom Boom Poom (Booth A30-A31), with 15 sets available at TTF (10 sets available for purchase and 5 sets available for pre-order). Above IG-video is of the item on display at TTF, while below is his one "hands-on" play video, which I heart! I really appreciate "hands-on" videos, especially when it comes to toys/collectibles, as they (A) keeps the spirit "alive" for these inanimate objects, and (B) they allow me to live vicariously thru their hands LOL
I have been consistently missing out on featuring DOU DOU from @dogtogether_studio (since discovering them in August) ... and this year for TTF, they have launched Duo Duo's friend "IFFY" - who comes in 2 editions to be had - available via the @toyzeroplus Booth A13 for NT$2,400 each! I am quite charmed by the cheerfulness of the character's smile and the concept of the suit!
Exciting new fluorescent colorways for Ziqi's ICE CREAM DINO to be launched today at Booth A88! Quite a massive push from Unbox with a myriad of colorway combinations and artist collaborations too! Congrats, Ziqi!

Two particular figures stand out for me from @sunguts: KIGU-RUMI (dude in pink bear suit) and KAIJU BOY (dressed in a T-Rex suit)! Released on Day 2 and Day 3 (respectively), look for them at his Booth , each priced at NT$1,000 (check out his handy price menu post below).
