As my calves ache beyond my usual maladies (no doubt a direct result of my family trip last week), I sit and watch this video of Day 1 (Nov 30th) and images of Day 2 (Dec 2) of the annual Anime Festival Asia / #C3AFASG18 (Nov 30-Dec 1-2), and am a mixed bag of emotions ....On one hand, I want to head there and soak in the atmosphere of this event celebrating it's 10th anniversary ... and on the other, am finding everything strangely "alien" ... recognising I have been visiting the J-Culture specifically themed event for the past recent years, in the hold of experiencing the joy of discovery I have had in the early years of covering the event (since it's first in 2008, and 2009 ... I fell to Stroke in 2010, so probably couldn't find any record :p), and of enjoying the "Creative Hub / Artist Alley" zones more than anything else I could not necessarily relate too ... or simply perhaps my fandom/otaku-dom had reached it's peak?
Nevertheless, I am still holding out for Day 3 Sunday to visit, although I am unsure if my media pass is still valid then ... perhaps I am "fated" to miss the 10th year anniversary of AFA...?
