DEADLY CLASS on SyFy: Ep 1 Online, My Impressions & Behind-The-Scenes
In anticipation of the January 16th premiere on SyFy, Episode One of DEADLY CLASS is currently available to watch online v on SyFy.com (FYI: "This content is not available in your location" for Singapore). I've had the opportunity to enjoy all 50+minutes of it on the first day of 2019, and cannot WAIT to devour the subsequent semester! Hella way to start a new year!
MY IMMEDIATE IMPRESSIONS AFTER FIRST VIEWING: #DeadlyClass is my kinda jam, from beginning to roller credits, back-to-back 80s tunes embraces my attention, and when Echo & The Bunnymen's "Killing Moon" played thru my earphones, the show had me in their backpocket. The angsty-teenager-tropes have their own little twists of freshness, the in-your-bloody-faces are bloody-fun, the scarlet-fusia, sublime even as they splatter across the screen. I have not read, and hence have no comparisons to the comic book source, but I’m itching to get in on the ride, for when the series premieres January 16th on SyFy.
