Nebby Art for “ByeBye2018 Hello2019”
WHAT-IS: "ByeBye2018 Hello2019" is a serial feature where select artists share with us their past year in 2018, and what to expect from them in 2019!"
TOYSREVIL: How was 2018 for you? Share with us your most triumphant moment(s) in 2018. What did you find the most disappointed of 2018?
NEBBY ART: 2018 has been a great year for Nebby Art!
We have officially debuted our very first traditional Japanese Sofubi toy, SAMEGO - Glitter Gold, in May 2018 and sales was opened in June 2018.
NEBBY ART: In September 2018, we participated in our very first public exhibition, STGCC 2018, held in Marina Bay Sands Singapore. SAMEGO also made a special appearance in BTS 2018, Beijing.
NEBBY ART: To our surprise, SAMEGO was well received. To be honest, we were quite skeptical in the beginning as we were very new in the artist toy industry. Along the way we met many friends and fans who came to support us; and also made many new friends during the event. Having said that, we appreciate all the support and love, and would like to take this opportunity to thank everyone once again!
If anything was a dampener in 2018, we would have preferred to release SAMEGO much earlier. Thank you all for your kind patience.
TOYSREVIL: What is your most favorite toy, or piece of art you've seen in 2018?
NEBBY ART: Most favourite toy at this point, SAMEGO!? Hahaha, just kidding.
TOYSREVIL: What are you most looking forward to in 2019? Any plans for your work, for the new year you can share with us?
NEBBY ART: For 2019, we will continue to bring our fans and everyone more SAMEGO creations. More painted one-offs will be featured on our Nebby Art social media sites.
We're also possibly doing more releases of our new SAMEGO Mini (2 inch) which made it's debut during Christmas 2018 in the "Snowballers" series by Whalerabbit.
Last but not least we are in midst of planning and expecting a very mini tiny little fellow due later this year.

NEBBY ART: Nebby Art is a local design and toy art collective, comprising of professionals trained in design, art and marketing; featuring our first figure the mischief loving: SAMEGO.
SAMEGO is an adorable and good natured baby shark monster (kaiju), constantly challenging boundaries and in for a spot of rascality. SAMEGO is fully hand crafted, from sculpt to colour. Presently, he comes in 2 standard versions, resin and Japanese soft vinyl (sofubi) and measures about 3” tall.
While toy making is a path less travelled, it’s a journey filled with good memories and excitement. With this we bring you SAMEGO and many variants to come.
