KAIJU vs HEROES Extended, New Mini Kaiju Drazoran & The Coming of Kaiju-Con 2019!
"Kaiju vs Heroes: Mark Nagata's Journey through the World of Japanese Toys" (#onTOYSREVIL) at Japanese American National Museum has since been announced to be extending through to July 7th, 2019 (instead of the earlier "March 24"). Also revealed is a tease of a new color way of Mini Kaiju Drazorans exclusive to @jamuseum for #kaijuvsheroes exhibit!
But before you think this is "just a new batch" of the since "Sold Out" Pink Edition, Mark has shared with us that this upcoming version is "different"; "(where) the others were more pink and softer vinyl (squishy, on purpose) ... this is a light(er) pink and (in) normal vinyl)." Release info will be via @jamuseum, although you might want to stay connected to @maxtoyco too :p
In conjunction with the exhibition’s extension, the museum will host a day-long separately ticketed Kaiju-Con on June 15, 2019!
PRESS: "Kaiju-Con will include a vendor hall, workshops, panel discussions, and demonstrations all related to kaiju and Japanese toys. It will culminate in a special free outdoor screening of "Godzilla" (2014), at 8:30 p.m., on the museum’s plaza."You might want to head here for more info, including "Vendor Guidelines and Procedures" and downloadable "Application Form"!
