Custom-TINY GHOST by Singapore-based artist Jessica Emmett (shop.jessica-emmett.com) will be heading to Shanghai Toy Show 2019 (April 12-14), courtesy of Simply Toys, and will be on display at Booth A38-B. WIPs of the 2 customs that I’m very excited will be displayed at the @simplytoys booth (A38-B) during the #shanghaitoyshow 12-14 April. Please do check their fab fun booth. Original toy is the super cute Tiny Ghost (Nerdy & OG) by @originalbimtoy @reisobrien . Each colour represents 1hr block of painting time. 7 (nerdy) & 8 (OG) colours were used. The videos have light purple 1st vid & yellow 2nd vid missing due to technical difficulties (as in I stupidly forgot to press record 😅). Due to the tight turnaround needed each had to be painted in a single day which was intense to focus for so many hours at a time given the constant decision making needed for this pattern technique. Challaged accepted! I was concentrating so much occasionally my body forgot to breath 😱 I had no idea that was a thing until now. These have snuck in as my first proper customs and I'm very excited that it'll be winging its way to Shanghai (even if I can't go myself). Huge thanks to @simplytoyssg for asking me to do these custom display pieces for their booth (A38-B) this week during the #shanghaitoyshow #sts. Do check out their booth. And since I can’t be there myself any photos would be welcomed! Original toy is the fab Tiny Ghost (OG & Nerdy) by @originalbimtoy @reisobrien Its a great toy to customise cos the flat white areas make it a great canvas! Though I will admit I underestimated the surface area 😅! See the next post for WIP videos + photos. This pattern is part of my Passage of Time theme where each colour represents 1hr blocks of painting time. 7 colours (Nerdy) & 8 colours (OG) were used. I’m really loving this pattern technique I keep revisiting as each piece I do is a little different each time. I love that it illustrates art process and decision making. Ive had my eye on a Nerdy ghost for myself for awhile so was a good excuse to pick one up for me at the same time =P #designertoys #customtoys #passageoftime #acrylicpaint #stopmotion #simplytoys #bimtoy #tinyghost
