Hot Toys VENOM Artist Mix Figure by Hiroto Ohkubo of INSTINCTOY
Remember Hot Toys' "Artist Mix" Series? Whereby artists and designers were invited to create stylised versions of Marvel of DC characters, and be released as licensed collectibles. In the past, we had TOUMA's line-up of Marvel & DC figures, while Kenny Wong tackled DC characters mashed-up with his MOLLY!
Hot Toys has since announced their latest addition to the Artist Mix family, with Hiroto Ohkubo of INSTINCTOY! And featured here today are images of his VENOM vinyl collectible, standing at 34cm tall! As well including two interchangeable head sculpts, is a semi-articulated body "with the ability to perform head, wrist and ankle movements."
"Available only in selected markets", folks interested can also look forward to a special pre-order opportunity at the coming weekend's Beijing Toy Show 2019 (August 16-18), via the HOT TOYS booth #B69, where 300pcs will be made available, each priced at a SRP of 1,980 RMB (US$281 / SG$390) - *Unknown if price point includes shipping.

"I still remember the time watching the "Spiderman 3" movie, which was released in 2007. I was so impressed and inspired by the moment, where the black symbiote creeps up to Spider-Man. The first original character created by me was inspired by this scene from the movie, and the mysterious liquid creature "LIQUID ", which erodes the living body, was born."
"VENOM has always been one of my favorite characters. In some ways I feel that I have a special connection with him. This humanoid soft vinyl figure created by INSTINCTOY stands at a height of about 34cm. The height is based on my own theory after observing what the most "attractive soft vinyl format" is like. This time, we designed VENOM according to this format. As a fan and collector, I always liked the character of VENOM very much, and I was very happy to take on the job of designing a VENOM soft vinyl figure just the way I would want it myself. I hope to pass on this feeling to The hearts of many people. "
