"KUMA" by Sarah Isabel Tan (Seen @ BigBigCon 2019)

Introducing "KUMA" from Sarah Isabel Tan. A fully painted prototype was on display at the WHALERABBIT booth in BigBigCon 2019 (Nov 2-3), and I had a chance to hold and check this beast out in person.


I am huge fan of "chubby" and huge characters (*Like I'm gonna dare tell Kuma he is "chubby"? LOL), and interestingly the thicker-black outlines of even the blood splatter is reminiscent of Sarah's illustration-style.


From its creation in 2014, he has gone thru various incarnations - from paper toy, to plush, to the current printed-n-painted prototype, and there's even a chibi-version too? Looking forward to where this character heads next!
